Welcome on our Website

Maison Mambré, situated in the South of France, in the Tarn Valley, was originally a farm that was converted in 1968 into a country house for the Dominican sisters based in Albi. The house was used as their retreat centre tucked away in this wonderful landscape.

In the year 2002 we bought the monastery and completely refurbished the building while maintaining the original character with some references to the past purpose of the building still evident. So you will feel totally at home in the rooms, which ooze charm and are named after their original occupants.

The former nuns’ chapel is now a sitting room with a library corner, a televison set and pool table.

The house is surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool and terraces with a very nice view on the tarn river and valley.
Maison Mambré chose to be a guest house rather than a hotel so as to offer the guests a home away from home and allow them to relax instantly.
